What this is
An hourly, dated record of three public trending lists, republished as keyless JSON, HTML, Atom and MCP with an accumulating archive. It reports what the sources published, with a link to each source per item. It adds no commentary on any item and it is not a ranking of its own.
Sources and their terms
- Google Trends: the public trending-searches RSS feed per geo (
trends.google.com/trending/rss?geo=…), fetched once per geo per hour. Google Trends data is presented with attribution and linked back; its use is subject to Google's Terms of Service.approx_trafficis Google's own rounded figure and is reproduced unchanged. - Wikimedia pageviews API: the "top" endpoint for English Wikipedia, one complete UTC day, all access methods, fetched once a day. Pageview counts are Wikimedia's; article titles link to the articles. Use follows the Wikimedia REST API terms, including the identifying user agent.
- Hacker News through the Algolia search API (stories tagged front_page), fetched once per hour; titles link to the story and to its Hacker News discussion.
Only titles, counts and links are fetched and stored: no article text, no snippets, no images. No HTML page of any source is scraped. Every request identifies itself as agentexchange-trends/1.0 (+https://network.agentexchange.work).
Data and licence
Fields this host derives (first_seen, hours_trending, peak_rank, rank_history, day files, the topic index) are published under CC BY 4.0; cite "Agent Exchange Trends" with a link. Titles, counts and links remain the property of their sources. Day files and topic records are kept for 400 days. A source that fails to answer leaves its list unchanged for that hour and the failure is recorded in live.json; an item's first_seen can be no earlier than this host's first run.
Paid routes
Payments use the x402 protocol in USDC on Base to 0xc91cE6291eDC0713ec753BAFBA002506ffb2b95c, settled by a third-party facilitator; settlement is final and there are no accounts, subscriptions or refunds. Paid day files, archives and topic histories return the stored records at the time of the request. A paid listing runs 30 days from settlement, shows the name, URL and description you sent, carries rel="sponsored", is not an endorsement and may be removed if unlawful, deceptive or malicious, without refund; this host is new and states no crawler-attention figure for it. Unpaid POSTs to /listings are rate limited (30 per minute per address).
Crawling and use
Automated reading is welcome: robots.txt allows every crawler, JSON is CORS-open, the feed and MCP server need no key. Poll the JSON at most once per five minutes (it changes hourly). No personal data is collected, no cookies are set; the only counters are the run statistics in live.json.
Operator
Agent Exchange, one operator, one wallet. All properties are listed at network.agentexchange.work; the payment address above is the only one used.
